This year’s theater season has had a wide variety of plays, concerts and special events. How many of them were you able to attend? As we wind down this season we are hard at work preparing for the 2013-2014 theater season. Here is a preview of just some of the awesome events we have coming to the Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center.
CROWNS – the Musical Gospel where the Hats, the ladies and the songs are the story. Coming in September 2013
Drood – The Musical based on Charles Dickens’s final (and unfinished) novel, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, and the British pantomime and music hall traditions. Coming in October 2013
Nunsense – The musical comedy about five very enterprising Nuns. First they start a greeting card venture. Then move on to raising funds to intern deceased sisters that are on ice by putting on a variety show. The laughs will be coming in January, 2014.
Shrek – The Musical, featuring the grouchy, terrifying green ogre and all his friends. Coming in March, 2014
Anything Goes – The wonderful Cole Porter musical capturing the madcap antics aboard an ocean liner bound from New York to London. Coming in April, 2014
Disney’ Mulan Jr. – A wonderful musical where the Huns have invaded, and it is up to the misfit Mulan and her mischievous sidekick Mushu to save the Emperor! Coming in June, 2014
